Founding of Club:  Batley Cricket Club was founded in 1863 as successor to Prince of Wales CC. By 1880 the club had set up home at Mount Pleasant and been joined by other local sportsmen, including rugby players who had set up Batley RFC later to become known as 'The Gallant Youths. Feel free to read more on the club's history by clicking on the Club History tab.

Teams: We currently have 4 teams in total, 2 senior and 2 junior teams (Under 11’s, 13’s,)

Great Moments: 1911 scoring a record 445 in the Heavy Woollen Cup final against Hopton Mills and in 2015 we were jointly awarded the Asian Team Award and also awarded the Team of the Year, we are also club mark registered.

2014, Batley maintained their volatile adventures by gaining promotion in with a team without stars. They finished a massive 17 points ahead of Buttershaw St Pauls at the head of the division. The key performers were Tahir (377 runs), Maqsood (437 runs) and Hussain (30 wkts) , while an individual honour came in the shape of Naik Zada who took the First Division Wicket Keeping prize. 2015, Batley were mindful of consolidation in the top section and later concentrated their minds on qualifying for the new Bradford League Championship. It was clear they had to finish in a high position to be one of five clubs to qualify in the Central Yorkshire League’s last season. Batley were competitive throughout the season and duly qualified after finishing their long history in the league in a respectable sixth place. Again, they had no stars and were reliant on the consistency of Sardar Hassan Khan (468 runs) and Muhammed Shahnawaz (46 wkts).

2016 Bradford League Premier Division 1st Team Championship A Winners  and 2nd Team Championship B Winners, truly a memorable moment in the club’s history not only the fact both team’s winning the Championship and it being decided to very last game of the season where both teams had to win in order to seek promotion for 2017 season. This shows a lot of character and willingness to come back from defeats from unable to chase 72 (1st vs. Hunslet Nelson) for victory and being bowled out for 99 against (2nds vs. Altofts) . All of Batley CC feel very proud for the on-field achievements this season and now the really hard work beings.
